Think conference recap

TradeLens

The TradeLens team showed up at IBM’s THINK conference in San Francisco last week and were greeted by over 25,000 business and technically-focused attendees – from 3,900 unique organizations and 121 countries.

If you attended, we hope you enjoyed the fun! But if you weren’t there to connect with us – here’s a quick recap.

Karen Oldfield, the CEO of the Halifax Port Authority joined Natalie Dyenson, VP of Food Safety at Dole, Roberto Mancone, COO at we.trade, and Marie Wieck, blockchain General Manager at IBM on stage for a session that focused on the digital flow of goods, information and money with blockchain.  Karen discussed her organization’s ambitions and goals in becoming a truly globally connected port and the reasons they have joined TradeLens to support that ambition:

See the full IBM blockchain session hosted by Marie Wieck, which included a compelling explanation on the creation of platforms, which then build network-of-networks.

Mike White joined Marvin Erdly to discuss the latest advancements and news pertaining to TradeLens. Watch the video of Mike and Marvin’s session.

Todd Scott, VP Global Trade at IBM, spoke to a select group about the questions shippers and NVOCCs have in digitizing their supply chains – and the reasons they are making moves to join platforms like TradeLens.

The team from IBM and Maersk GTD also showed up to demo the latest from the offering and answer questions from conference attendees.
